Marigolds: A Letter to the author.

Dear Eugenia Collier
   I'm writing you about your short story Marigolds. In the story you give a vivid image of the
hometown of your youth and how the only thing you can remember is- dust. You were fourteen-going-on-fifteen and it  was during the great depression. I'm actually surprised at how much trouble you and your brother, Joey, have got into. Like when you were throwing rocks and stones at Ms. Lotties Marigolds. When your father lost his job it seems like everything took a turn for the worst. I feel like you kind of over reacted, because even though he lost his job, he still found a way to support your family. It wasn't the best way, but still he found a way to make it work. During the depression, finding a job wasn't as easy as losing one. So I feel you overreacted when you tore up Ms. Lottie's Marigolds. The way you made it seem, was like you destroyed the only beautiful thing you had in your hometown.

  Social Networks doesn't have a negative influence on teens. Social networks like Facebook, Twitter, etc are good for connecting with far away friends. Small businesses can also advertise to a larger crowd. Social networks could also help access vital information.

   When you move away from friends, you have two ways to keep in touch. Through the phone or social networking.  IM or texting  friends is a great way to keep in touch. If your friend just so happens to not have a phone, you can always rely on social network to connect.

  Before business is booming you have to advertise everywhere you could. Social network allows you to advertise to a larger community. Also advertising on social networks increases the chances of getting discovered. When you have an interesting eye catching ad, you will probably get some costumers. As long as you don't have a boring business like plumbing, you should be alright!

  Social networking can also help you access vital information, such as special events, world news, breaking news, all depending on who you are following or are friends with. If you are involved with people who only Tweet or post irrelevant stuff, you are probably going to be out of the loop with the relevant. I personally don't have any social networking accounts, but I probably should think about getting one.

  In conclusion, social networking is a big help to the world. Even with all the negative attention they receive.
Facebook, Twitter, tumblr, etc, users, well some of them, give those networks a bad name. In the 21 century, the human race would be lost without those networks.
